2

Learn & Practice

Maria demonstrates, listens, and provides real-time feedback on technique, musicality, and interpretation โ€” just like in person.

3

Review & Assign

After each lesson, Maria sends practice notes and recordings so you know exactly what to work on before the next session.

Online Lessons FAQ

Are online piano lessons as effective as in-person?

For most students, yes! The key factors are a great teacher, proper camera setup, and consistent practice. Many of Maria's online students progress just as quickly as in-person students. Read more in our article: 5 Myths About Online Piano Lessons.

Can young children take online lessons?

Online works best for ages 8+. Younger children (5โ€“7) generally benefit more from in-person lessons where Maria can physically guide hand position and posture.

What if my internet connection drops?

Brief interruptions are normal and don't significantly impact the lesson. If a connection issue lasts more than a few minutes, Maria will make up the lost time.

Do I need an expensive piano for online lessons?

No! A good quality digital piano with weighted keys (starting around $400-500) works well. Maria can recommend specific models based on your budget and goals.

What time zone are you in?

Maria is in the Pacific Time Zone (Seattle/Bellevue area). She offers lessons throughout the day โ€” mornings through evenings PT โ€” and can accommodate students in other time zones.
